Project Description:

Development of an eLearning course for both internal CPS sworn members and police officers from across Canada on navigating the procedure and reporting expectations when investigating counterfeit currency. Authoring tool: Articulate Rise.

Course Objectives:

- Identify counterfeit Canadian polymer and paper currency.
- Discuss the initial investigation guidelines for first responders and how to process counterfeit currency
- Recall under what authority you may detain or investigate counterfeit currency cases
- Locate further resources, references, and contacts within CPS, the Bank of Canada (BoC), the RCMP, and the United States Secret Service (USSS) to assist you in learning more about this topic or in directing the public to educational tools.
